Background

Kickstarting a ‘Lambrusco renaissance’ in the UK, Kilgarriff & Kahan source and import specialist sparkling wines and bottles of balsamic vinegar produced on a small scale using traditional, sustainable methods.

Founded by friends Alice, a former translator by trade and Emma, a former chartered accountant – Kilgarriff & Kahan came to life as an expression of their shared passion for quality, excellence and taste.

A Mark of good taste

K&K asked Limegreentangerine to establish an identity and brand image. We created a Mark that could be identified as a symbol of endorsed, hand-picked quality; distinctive but not at odds with producers’ packaging. The brand recalls rustic authenticity echoed through duotone photography that reveals a little of the founders’ own journey of Italian discovery.

Kilgarriff & Kahan regularly appear at food festivals and tasting events nationwide and supply products to a number of independent and artisanal retailers.

As a start-up business, our budget was limited but we needed distinctive branding that would help us not only stand out, but adapt, it needed to sit alongside and reflect our producers. LGT took a great deal of time and care to listen and to understand what we needed and, as a result, they delivered exactly what we wanted.
