Full Stack Developer

A great opportunity for an experienced full stack developer to join our talented digital team.

The position

We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic Full Stack Developer with a clear passion for problem solving to join our growing digital team based in Cardiff. You will become an integral part of the company, building websites & web services for our clients. You should be familiar with Model-View-Controller frameworks and be capable of designing, implementing and testing a full stack solution using both front-end and back-end web technologies.

Previous experience utilising HTML 5.0, CSS 3.0, JavaScript, PHP and MySQL is essential for the role and a keen eye for detail is considered highly desirable. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, driven and able to meet deadlines; continuously looking to improve systems, utilising the latest technologies and principles, adopting best-practice standards (including PHP-FIG/PSR2).

You will have an opportunity to work on projects like these:

 

You will need the following skillset:

  • PHP 5/7
  • A solid grasp of OOP - including the ability to follow coding standards (PSR-2)
  • Experience with full stack web development
  • Experience within an MVC framework
  • Experience integrating REST/SOAP APIs
  • JavaScript and associated libraries (jQuery, AngularJS)
  • HTML 5.0 & CSS 3.0
  • Experience with MySQL (or similar relational database language), including writing complex queries by hand.



The following would be useful:

  • A keen eye UX design philosophies
  • Knowledge of Agile software development principles
  • Knowledge of GIT version control
  • Integration with payment gateways
  • Experience with an open source CMS
