We’re very happy to announce we’ve been working with the Football Association Ireland to launch the new League of Ireland website.
We’re excited to introduce the new League of Ireland platform as a hub for football fans, players, and media alike. A seamless, user-friendly experience, capturing the dynamic nature of Irish football, the new site features comprehensive sections for the SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division, Women’s and age-grade leagues, real-time match updates, club details, and league standings.
The League of Ireland is the top tier of professional football in the Republic of Ireland, and is made up of three senior competitions:
- SSE Airtricity Men’s Premier Division: The top-level division in the League of Ireland and the Republic of Ireland football league system
- SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division: A senior competition in the League of Ireland
- SSE Airtricity Men’s First Division: A senior competition in the League of Ireland
The League of Ireland has been administered by the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) since 2006, its history dates back to the founding of the FAI in 1921.
The League of Ireland Premier Division has been held from spring to autumn since 2003. The winners of the Premier Division are considered the champions of the Republic of Ireland.
