The Old Barti & The Sea

The brief was simply to premiumise the existing design without losing its iconic character, made by Camarthen-based printmaker Tom Frost.

The introduction of richer, atmospheric shades through monotone colours and storm-inspired hot foiled waves deepen the storytelling and nods to the wild sea off the Welsh shore. A wax seal finish underlines its single-batch, hand-finished touch, mirroring the folklore that inspires through the Barti brand.

The result is a label that’s familiar yet uplifted; a perfect reflection of what's in the bottle: a two-year-aged Dominican rum, finished with Barti signature wild Pembrokeshire seaweed, warming spices and a kiss of the coast.

Limited to just 5,976 bottles, this edition shows how small design refinements can transform a familiar brand into something collectable and elevated, whilst distinctly in-step with an established brand.
