Dedicated to promoting the magic of independent breweries, they deliver a diverse portfolio of authentic challenger brands, driving growth, innovation, and exceptional experiences.

A distinct collective of craft breweries, each with its own character, community, and story, Sunrise unites them with a shared belief in doing things the right way. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just exceptional beer from people who care deeply about their craft.

Their exciting portfolio of premium brands includes Gipsy Hill, Portobello Brewery, Curious, St Peter’s Brewery, and Wild Beer. They’re also the UK’s distributors of Efes, a Mediterranean lager, and Japan’s Orion Beer.

We’ve partnered with the team to create a brand strategy and visual identity to match their bold ambition to promote the spirit of independent brewing, while building something truly future-facing. In a market dominated by just a few big players, most notably Heineken, InBev etc, Sunrise are able to offer a genuine premium craft alternative. 

Together, we set out to define a clear brand strategy that would reflect their purpose and points of difference:

— A home for genuinely authentic, premium beer brands;

— A champion of uncompromised quality and innovation;

— A force for growth that doesn’t sacrifice soul.

At the heart of the work is a new positioning, Brands on the Rise; a simple, ambitious statement that captures the momentum behind Sunrise, their portfolio, and the next generation of standout drinks brands. Visually, we drew inspiration from the warmth of Mediterranean sunrises (Efes), the bold glow of Japan’s ‘land of the rising sun’ (Orion) and the crystalline splash of a cold pour hitting and settling against glass, to create a suite of hero graphics.

Our outcomes:
— An identity that feels elevated, yet open;
— A strategy rooted in clarity and built for growth;
— A bold visual language fitting for the category.

From that foundation, we built a visual identity that signals both confidence and care, contemporary yet grounded, in the world of premium independent brewing. A brand that, whilst exclusively B2B, could speak credibly to both partners and drinkers, giving each brewery in the portfolio the space to shine in its own right.
