LGT finalists for 2012 Canmol Marketing Award

Limegreentangerine are proud to announce that our work for the Richard Parks’ 737 Challenge campaign has been shortlisted for a 2012 Canmol Wales Marketing Award. We’re one of 15 finalists sharing centre stage with the likes of the BBC, Legal & General, St David’s Partnership and Confused.com.

On 12th July 2011 Richard Parks made history by becoming the first person ever to climb the highest summit on each of the world’s continents and stand on all 3 poles – The South Pole, North Pole and summit of Everest in the same calendar year. An incredible feat achieved within 7 record setting months raising funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

For over two years a small team of fundraisers, an events organiser and a PR manager worked with us behind the scenes and against the odds to make the 737 concept a reality in the minds of the giving public, sponsors and the media. Now, with the Challenge completed and the fundraising campaign nearing the end it’s wonderful for our work to be recognised by The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).

LGT’s Account Director, Beverley Rees sat alongside Richard Parks at a recent interview for the Awards where they discussed the various challenges of the campaign. The Awards night will take place at the Mercure Holland House in Cardiff on October 5th where the finalists videos will be presented and this years winners announced.
