The very first Urdd Urban Games will see Roald Dahl Plas transformed with a programme of free sports competitions for children, young people, and pros, across a thrill-filled weekend in June.
Urdd Gobaith Cymru is a national voluntary youth organisation with over 56,000 members aged between 8 and 25 years old. It provides opportunities for children and young people across Wales to take part in a range of experiences through the Welsh language.
Cardiff Bay will be taken over for the inaugural Urdd Urban Games event by skateboarders, BMX’ers, breakdancers and basketball players, as this free urban sports event comes to town. The oval basin will play host to a variety of events, including wheelchair basketball, break-dancing, BMX, skateboarding, and more across June 18 and 19. Featuring taster sessions for other events like DJ’ing, scootering, graffiti, parkour, and wheelchair motocross, while there will also be participant competitions with cash prizes.
Limegreentangerine were tasked with creating the event brand, graphic packs, site branding, and website for what promises to be an action-packed two days.
